The first of four journals kept by Frederick Spencer covers the period between October 1939 and August 1941.

The second of four journals kept by Frederick Spencer covers the period between September 1941 and July 1946.

Frederick Spencer Journal 3a - YGA01622
The first half of the third journal kept by Frederick Spencer. It covers the period between August 1946 and May 1951 - the time before the purchase of York Gate.

Frederick Spencer Journal 3b - YGA01623
The second half of the third journal kept by Frederick Spencer. It covers the period between July 1951 and March 1952 during which York Gate was purchased and the house was refurbished.

Frederick Spencer Journal 4 - YGA01624
The fourth and final journal of Frederick Spencer. Kept between March 1952 and December 1963. The journal covers the period when the family lived at York Gate and the final entries date from shortly before his sudden death on 5th December. Theā€¦
